Yes!  The easiest way to describe how efficient our homes are is by using the HERS Rating.  HERS stands for Home Energy Rating System.  HERS works by giving every home a base rating of 100%.  Every 1% lower than 100 represents a 1% reduction in energy consumption.  The average new home being built has a HERS Rating of 100%.  Virginia Homes’ consistently achieves a HERS Rating of 48-52%.  This means that our homes are 48% to 52% more efficient than a typical new home.  Please visit our home energy page for more information.
